BMW pays for scheduled maintenance on the iX3 for 2 years and 26000 miles longer than Porsche pays for maintenance for the Macan Electric (3/36,000 vs. 1/10,000).

There are over 72 percent more BMW dealers than there are Porsche dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the iX3’s warranty.

The iX3’s standard front and rear disc brakes are vented to help dissipate heat for shorter stops with less fading. The rear discs standard on the Macan Electric are solid, not vented.

For better traction, the iX3 has larger standard tires than the Macan Electric (255/45R20 vs. 235/55R20).

The iX3’s standard easy entry system glides the driver’s seat back, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. An easy entry system costs extra on the Macan Electric.

The iX3’s power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The Macan Electric’s cruise control switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the iX3 has a standard rear wiper. A rear wiper costs extra on the Macan Electric.
